A bank and a supermarket have been added to a list of new locations and times visited by the latest two Covid community cases in Auckland. It comes as hundreds of people have swamped testing stations today but with, so far, no additional new positive cases.

Hundreds of concerned Aucklanders have swamped Covid testing stations today - with so far no further positive tests, says director general of health Ashley Bloomfield.
More than 600 Covid tests had been conducted at the Orewa station alone, Bloomfield told Newstalk ZB s Heather du Plessis-Allan, following the discovery of three positive cases in the community - one in Northland and two on Auckland s North Shore - in the past week.

Australia has extended the suspension of quarantine-free travel for travellers arriving from New Zealand for at least another 72 hours, in response to new community cases of Covid 19 in Auckland and Northland.
Australia s acting chief medical officer Michael Kidd delivered the news in a press conference today. Based on this updated information from New Zealand, including that [original case] there have been an additional 2 cases of Covid-19 in the community in New Zealand, and all being the [more contagious] variant of concern, the HPPC has recommended that the Commonwealth extend the pause for a further 72 hours, he said.
